Craig Northup II otherwise known as “iies.” ( pronounced "eyes") is an emerging visionary musician/band currently residing within Denver, CO. Consisting of Craig Northup II/iies. (lead vocals) Baz Gillen (drums), Killian Bertsch (Piano), Aidan Roberts (guitar), and Jacob Montano (bass). Born from playing improvisational music around Denver centered mostly around jazz, Blues, and hip hop they now work in unison to perfect their unique style and give memorable live performances.
Known for past debut hip-hop albums: "Poetry in the Field" and "Rebirth", Craig is now dedicated to pushing the musical envelope by bending genres and pushing lyrical feats with a style they call “experimental jazz rap”. Craig wants to bring his following into a multi-sensorial experience by poetically describing reality via music in a way that has never been done before! Interviewed on local Denver radio stations such as Indie 102.3 & Denver Open Media, and showcasing at notable venues such as: Dazzle,The Roxy Theater, Cervantes, Underground Music Showcase, Sofar Denver and more they plan to emerge into the festival scene later on this year with their Debut Album "Don't Forget The Dot" Releasing July 19th. Wings, their latest release off of this upcoming album, is a blend of sounds that is sure to thrill music connoisseurs far and wide. Crafted from elements of rock, jazz, rap, hip-hop, and blues this single is sure to capture the attention of curious bystanders and musical scholars upon speculation. In promotion of their debut experimental jazz rap album this single serves to set the tone for what to expect upon their much anticipated LP release! Ultimately, “iies" is a play off the word “eyes' ' and how eyes allow us to perceive our reality - offering us perspectives. Each musician in this band brings their own angles sonically making for a unique blend of musical viewpoints all influencing their “experimental jazz hip hop style”. |

baz gillenBaz Gillen is a drummer and educator based in Denver Colorado. Outside of teaching and playing at local venues for various groups he is also gaining experience touring and recording for various artists of numerous styles of music. He is currently pursuing a jazz performance degree at MSU Denver and hopes to keep expanding his musical knowledge and abilities.

jacob montano
Jacob Montano is a Bass Player, Composer, Producer, and Video Maker based out of Denver, CO. He has almost three years of experience in the Denver Music Scene, playing at such iconic Colorado venues like the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, Globe Hall, and Lost Lake. Jacob is currently a student, working towards a Bachelors in Music Performance & Audio Production at CU Denver. His dream is to tour around the world with a band and play music with his friends.
